Best 80's movies that inspire fashion

A list of Clever Alice's favorite 80's movies that inspire fashion today. Let us know which movies you loved watching.

Less Than Zero

Blair, Clay, and Julian set the scene of what rich kids from Los Angeles were wearing, driving, and partying with in 1987. A black blazer with shoulder pads worn over a fitted tank and mini skirt became a uniform.

Flashdance

In 1983 Flashdance, Alex the welder by day, "flash" dancer by night, taught us how to read French Vogue, eat lobster at a resturant, dance like a goddess and get the man with the Porsche. I will forever love my army jackets and oversized grey sweatshirts because of how cool she made it all look.

Valley Girl
A 1983 film about Julie, super preppy valley girl "like totally falls in love " with Hollywood punk rock Randy. I will forever have a crush on punk boys from grity LA because of Nicolas Cage. And it made preppy boys in polos seem like the biggest geeks. Punk rock glam won my fashion heart after watching this movie.

9 1/2 Weeks 1986, The greatest lesson in black and white, New York style dressing. Every scene is sexy and sultry but the little touches like a scarf so gently placed over her shoulders or the playfullness of male dressing by Kim, make her a fashion icon.

I am sure I missed a bunch, but I have to say Molly in Pretty in Pink never inspired me much.
